Job Description

Reporting to: QA/QC Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor

QA/QC is responsible for the inspection, recertification of repaired equipment as per customer purchase order requirement, goods in / out quality checks for the facility and co-ordination of calibrated equipment. Ensuring that company system is conforming to ISO Standards


Main Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the creation of ITP/QAP for Ops Man/Ops Supv or client approval.
  • Populate Pressure Test Parameters within QA Card
  • Carry out QA Card Audits
  • Compile Valve Certification Packages for repaired valves ensuring full traceability of all spares fitted
  • Responsible for the completion of QA/QC final inspection checklist within QA card
  • Completion of Delivery Notes including sign-off of Certificate of Conformity
  • Responsible for collating of photographic evidence of equipment inwards and outwards
  • Liaising with Ops Manager / Ops Supv when repaired valves do not conform to Score Quality standards
  • Ensuring all non-conformances are investigated and that suitable corrective actions are implemented to prevent a recurrence
  • Preparation and execution of the internal audit plan
  • Carrying out management system audits at premises and third-party locations as required
  • The focal point for all QMS audits conducted by 3rd parties
  • Responsible for Co-ordination and records upkeep of all equipment that requires periodic recertification
  • Responsible Integration of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Standards across the JV
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

  • Responsible for general housekeeping within the department and surrounding areas
  • Work within the company’s policies, procedures, operating standards and work instructions
  • Maintain a safe working environment to avoid risks to self and others
  • Participation in the HSE and Quality initiatives, i.e., AIMS Cards and START cards
  • Ensure compliance with IOGP 9 Life Saving Rules before commencing any work activity
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct reflecting its values and culture

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Diploma
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package – Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Understanding QA/QC Systems
Skills & Behaviors:
  • An effective communicator, particularly in producing written reports
  • Ability to interpret work processes/job histories and make informed judgements
  • Ability to work independently, following training
  • Desire to develop, build skill sets and engage in ongoing training
  • Previous experience in a similar Quality role is preferred
  • Experience working within a QA/QC team
  • Experience with the quality management standard ISO 9001 is a must
  • Experience with the quality management standard ISO 45001 & 14001 is desirable
  • Previous working knowledge of materials specifications is desirable
  • Practical experience of the plant used within the workshop
  • Valve repair related experience is essential
